Performance and Powertrain: The Khalsa Garbage Electric is powered by a 1 hp CY Gold motor coupled with a 100 Ah or 120 Ah lead-acid or lithium-ion battery (depending on variant), offering a driving range of up to 100–120 km on a single charge. It features an automatic transmission system with one forward and one reverse gear and achieves a top speed of around 23–25 km/h. Its 16% gradeability enables smooth movement on inclined roads, even when fully loaded. Design and Build: Purpose-built for waste collection, the Khalsa Garbage Electric comes with a reinforced cargo box designed to carry municipal garbage securely. The vehicle is constructed on a heavy-duty chassis with a ground clearance of around 200 mm and a turning radius suitable for narrow lanes and congested urban routes. It uses 3.75-12 tyres and features a strong iron/steel body to withstand daily usage. Features and Utility: The vehicle is equipped with a handlebar steering setup and includes utility-focused features like a waste-carrying compartment, driver cabin with basic instrumentation, and protective panels. For added safety and comfort, it may also come with a digital speedometer, driver fan, LED roof light, and rain curtains. Charging and Efficiency: The 48V battery system can be fully charged within 4–5 hours, making it viable for daily collection rounds.
