Mahindra Udo is a newly launched electric auto rickshaw. It is an aircraft-inspired designed auto and justify what Mahindra calls an “auto plane” experience. As you can see this is one of the most uniquely designed autorickshaws in recent times.

Mahindra Udo Price in India

The Mahindra Udo price in India starts at ₹3.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It currently comes in a single variant, the Udo 2100. And because Udo is an electric vehicle, it can qualify for state EV subsidies depending on local policies. Although the final on-road price varies across cities.

Exterior

Mahindra Udo stands out because of its aviation-inspired front fascia. The sharp and structured front gives it a modern identity on the road.

Udo comes with stylish headlamps that offer better visibility, especially at night. The body panels are greatly sculpted for a premium feel. The vehicle carries a strong and good build quality to ensure long-term reliability.

Udo introduces segment-first features like creep mode, which makes driving easier in heavy traffic. The aerodynamic structure and balanced proportions provide better road presence and confidence.

It is available with a soft-top configuration. Three color options: 1. Black, 2. yellow and 3. traffic blue are offered to choose from.

Performance Specifications

Mahindra Udo is powered by a 48V electric system and a strong electric motor. The motor produces a peak power output of 10 kW and delivers 52 Nm of torque.

The top speed of Mahindra Udo is 55 km/h, making it suitable for urban usage. It offers 25 percent gradeability, allowing it to climb flyovers and inclined roads without difficulty.

Mahindra Udo gives you three driving mode options to choose from – Range, Ride, and Speed. These modes allow you to optimise performance based on traffic conditions and battery usage. Hill Hold Assist is also available, preventing rollback when starting on slopes and making your uphill driving easier.

Battery, Range and Charging

Mahindra Udo is equipped with an 11.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery system is designed for high efficiency and durability. Udo delivers a 200 km range on a single charge. The charging time is 5 hours and 15 minutes using a standard charging setup. 

The drivetrain and power pack are rated IP67, which means they are protected against dust and water, improving long-term reliability in different weather conditions.

Regenerative braking technology is integrated into the system. Every time you press the brakes or use reverse throttle, energy regeneration occurs. This helps to extend the driving range of 200 km.

Dimensions, Structure and Capacity

Mahindra Udo is designed with balanced proportions to improve comfort and stability. The overall dimensions measure 2800 mm in length, 1370 mm in width, and 1808 mm in height. It has a long 2100 mm wheelbase.

The ground clearance stands at 215 mm. The turning radius is approximately 3 meters, making it convenient to maneuver in narrow streets and congested urban areas.

The Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of Mahindra Udo is 759 kg. It offers D+3 seating capacity, making it perfect for passenger transport operations.

The cabin height is 1435 mm, offering good headroom. The seat-to-handle distance is 515 mm, giving you a comfortable driving posture.

Interior Features and Comfort

Mahindra Udo focuses heavily on driver comfort. The driving seat is designed like a pilot seat rather than a regular auto seat. It offers better cushioning and improved posture support.

The vehicle features a stylish car-like interior that enhances the overall experience. A digital instrument cluster is provided to display essential information clearly and instantly.

The front suspension uses a dual fork setup, while the rear suspension consists of a hydraulic damper with coil spring and trailing arm configuration.

Optional accessories include reverse camera, wheel cap, music system, seat cover, and matty pouch, allowing you to customize the auto as needed.

Safety and Braking System

Mahindra Udo introduces segment-first monocoque construction. This improves structural strength and enhances passenger safety. The strong chassis frame provides better protection in case of any crash.

Udo comes with drum brakes at both the front and the rear. The powerful drum braking system offers shorter braking distances compared to conventional autos.

The suspension system ensures stable ride balance even on uneven roads. Combined with regenerative braking, the system improves both efficiency and safety.

Smart Tech Features

Through the Mahindra NEMO app, you can monitor your vehicle details directly from your phone. This adds convenience and control if you are a fleet operator or individual driver.

Udo also has features like creep mode, hill hold assist, regenerative braking, and reverse throttle that make driving in the city smoother and more efficient.

Warranty

Mahindra Udo comes with a warranty of 6 years or 1.5 lakh km. Whichever comes first. Additionally, free service support is provided up to 1 lakh km.

Under the UDAY NXT program, accident insurance coverage of up to ₹20 lakh is available as per applicable terms.
