I've spent about four years writing, the last year and a half almost entirely on commercial vehicles — Tata, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, Eicher and the rest of the field India actually runs on. My work here covers new launches, model comparisons, payload and dimension guides, and the regulation side of ownership.

I don't publish a number I haven't checked. A large part of my job is auditing manufacturer specs — engine figures, GVW, deck lengths, payload — and I've found plenty of errors in official listings along the way. I also talk to fleet owners, drivers and dealers, because the spec sheet and the road rarely agree.
