Atul Auto Appoints K.C. Vora as an Independent Director for Three Years

Atul Auto has appointed K.C. Vora as an Additional Director on its board. He serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director effective March 15, 2026. The term of appointment is for three years, subject to shareholder approval as per regulatory requirements.

Board Approves Appointment on March 14

The appointment was approved by the company's board at its meeting held on March 14. The decision followed the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Atul Auto announced the development through a regulatory filing.

Vora Brings Over 40 Years of Industry Experience

Vora currently serves as Program Director at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at NAMTECH. The centre is located at IIT Gandhinagar Research Park. He brings more than four decades of experience across the automotive industry and academia.

Long Career Spanning Multiple Organizations

Over his career, Vora has worked with several notable organizations. These include Walchandnagar Industries, Emitec, Mahindra & Mahindra, and the Automotive Research Association of India. He retired from ARAI in 2021 as Senior Deputy Director and Head of ARAI Academy. And now he brings all this experience to Atul Auto.

Active Contributor to EV Skills Development

Vora is currently a consultant to the Automotive Skills Development Council. He also chairs the council's expert group on electric vehicles. His involvement in EV skill development aligns with the industry's growing focus on electric mobility.

Published Author and Patent Holder

Vora has authored more than 120 technical papers throughout his career. He has written four books related to automotive engineering. He also holds four patents in the field of automotive technology.

K.C. Vora Educational Background

Vora holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya. He earned a master's degree in automotive engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute. He completed his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
