Tata Motors Feb 2026 CV Sales Jump 32% to 42,940 Units

Tata Motors has announced its commercial vehicle sales performance for February 2026. The company recorded total sales of 42,940 units. This marks a strong 32% year-on-year growth compared to 32,533 units sold in February 2025. Strong domestic demand and consistent export momentum drove the performance.
Tata’s Domestic Sales Rise in February
In the domestic market, Tata Motors sold 40,893 units in February 2026. This represents an aggressive 32.8% growth over 30,797 units sold in February 2025. Key segments including HCV, ILMCV, Passenger Carriers, and SCV Cargo & Pickup supported the overall growth.
HCV Segment Grows on Infrastructure Demand
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment recorded strong growth of 37.1%. Sales rose to 13,559 units in February 2026 from 9,892 units last year. Increased infrastructure activity, construction demand, and long-haul logistics requirements continued to drive this segment's performance.
ILMCV Segment Posts 34.1% Growth
The Intermediate, Light and Medium Commercial Vehicle segment posted solid 34.1% year-on-year growth. Sales increased to 7,577 units compared to 5,652 units last year. Growing regional distribution needs and rising cargo movement supported demand in this category.
Passenger Carrier Sales Up 27.4%
The Passenger Carrier segment registered notable growth of 27.4%. Sales stood at 5,548 units in February 2026 against 4,355 units in February 2025. Improved mobility demand across staff transportation, school buses, and public transport applications contributed to the expansion.
SCV Cargo and Pickup Deliver 30.4% Growth
The SCV Cargo and Pickup segment delivered strong growth of 30.4%. Sales reached 14,209 units, up from 10,898 units last year. The segment continues to play a vital role in last-mile delivery, e-commerce logistics, and small business transportation.
CV Exports Grow 17.9% to 2,047 Units
Tata Motors' CV exports grew by 17.9%, reaching 2,047 units in February 2026 compared to 1,736 units in February 2025. The growth highlights the company's expanding footprint in international commercial vehicle markets.
