Tata Motors Newly Launched Electric Trucks in India 2026

Tata Motors is rapidly expanding its electric truck portfolio in India. The company has introduced India's widest range of zero-emission trucks under the Tata Trucks.ev brand. Built on the new I-MOEV architecture, these trucks span from 7 tonnes to 55 tonnes. They serve applications including urban logistics, construction, mining, and port operations.
Tata Ultra E.7
The Ultra E.7 is designed for urban logistics and small cargo movement. Its compact size allows easy maneuvering on narrow city roads. The truck has a gross vehicle weight of 7,000 kg. It offers a payload capacity of 3.25 tonnes. Power output is 322 HP with 950 Nm torque. A 96 kWh battery provides a range of 150 to 180 km. It features a 14-foot container for city deliveries.
Tata Ultra E.9
The Tata Ultra E.9 suits short-distance and regional transport. It carries payloads between 4.5 and 5.5 tonnes. Gross vehicle weight is 9,000 kg. It offers a 147 kWh battery option. Range is approximately 230 km on a full charge. Charging time is 1.5 to 2 hours. Power output is 250 kW with 950 Nm torque. Gradeability is 23 percent. The truck features a D+2 cabin with pneumatic brakes and parabolic suspension.
Tata Ultra E.12
The Ultra E.12 handles heavier deliveries between warehouses and urban centers. Gross vehicle weight is 12,000 kg. Payload capacity ranges from 6 to 7 tonnes. Battery options are 96 to 147 kWh. Power and torque are 322 HP and 950 Nm. Driving range is 120 to 150 km. Container length extends up to 24 feet.
Tata Prima E.55S
The Prima E.55S is designed for long-haul and heavy trailer transport. Gross combination weight is 55,000 kg. It features a 453 kWh battery pack. Power output is 470 kW. Range on a single charge is up to 350 km. It supports dual-gun fast charging for minimal downtime. The drivetrain includes an integrated e-axle and 3-speed auto shift transmission. Regenerative braking enhances range efficiency.
Tata Prima E.28K
The Prima E.28K is built for heavy-duty material transport. It serves road construction, mining, and city infrastructure projects. Power output is 315 HP. Torque is an impressive 2,950 Nm. Battery options range from 300 to 450 kWh. Axle configuration is 6x4 rear-wheel drive. Front suspension uses parabolic leaf springs. Rear suspension is a bogie type. It is designed for high torque, rugged endurance, and faster turnaround cycles.
All Tata Electric Trucks Meet Stringent Safety Standards
Tata's electric trucks comply with European ECE R29-03 crash safety norms. Cabins are reinforced for frontal, side, and rollover impact protection. Active safety technologies include adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. Collision mitigation systems are also available. Even smaller Ultra EV trucks provide safer cabins than older diesel models.
