OSM Patents Unique Electric Auto MUSE With Sunroof and AC
An auto with AC and a sunroof? OSM's patented Muse e-rickshaw breaks the mould. Four doors, roof mirror, and rear AC vents.

Omega Seiki Mobility has secured a design patent for an electric auto-rickshaw equipped with air conditioning and a glass sunroof. Its name is Muse. The company first showcased the 'Muse' concept at Auto Expo 2023. The patent filing suggests a production-ready model could be launched soon.
Car-Like Design Breaks Traditional Auto Rickshaw Mould
The OSM Muse features an enclosed body with four doors and a raked windshield. This is a complete departure from the traditional open-sided auto-rickshaw design still common on Indian roads. A significantly large windshield gives driver and passengers an enhanced sense of roominess. Circular LED headlights and halogen turn signals complete the front profile.
Roof-Mounted Rearview Mirror and Fixed Glass Sunroof
A unique feature is the expanded roof-mounted rearview mirror, similar to those found on buses and trucks. It offers a broad view of road traffic behind the vehicle. The square-shaped fixed glass sunroof improves cabin ambience with natural light. This is especially useful during harsh weather conditions like heavy rainfall, brightening the interior without exposing passengers to the elements.
Full-Body Doors and Practical Exterior Details
The Muse gets flap-style door handles and appropriately sized side windows offering excellent outward visibility. The rear body features a large windscreen, flat boot lid, and vertically arranged lighting components. A spare tyre may be housed in the boot region.
Spacious Cabin with Expected Rear AC Vents in Muse
Inside, the cabin appears simple and spacious. AC controls are likely positioned on the panel beneath the handlebars. The driver's seat features quilted padding. The rear bench seat is designed to accommodate three passengers comfortably. Rear air conditioning vents are expected to be installed on the roof for passenger comfort.
Full-Body Doors Offer Practical Safety Benefits
The four-door enclosed design prevents auto-rickshaw operators from having to stick their neck out to check traffic. This improves safety and comfort during city driving. If launched by OSM, the Muse could fundamentally change conventional perceptions about auto-rickshaws in India.
