PepsiCo & Kalyani Powertrain Launch EV Green Corridor on Kosi-Pataudi
32-foot electric trucks. 4.8 lakh green kilometres a year. PepsiCo and Kalyani Powertrain just opened India's newest EV freight corridor.

PepsiCo India has launched a dedicated EV Green Corridor on the Kosi-Pataudi route connecting Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The corridor is developed in partnership with Kalyani Powertrain, a division of Bharat Forge. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions across the company's supply chain.
Eight Electric Container Trucks to Power the Corridor
Eight 32-foot single-axle re-powered electric container trucks will operate on this route. The vehicles have been developed with Kalyani Powertrain. The corridor is expected to enable about 4.8 lakh electric kilometres each year.
PepsiCo Expands Green Logistics Network
The company stated that it has directly reduced emissions at the last mile of delivery. It has converted over 400 distributor-linked vehicles to electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers across markets. As part of its urban logistics plan, it has also deployed more than 80 CNG vehicles in the National Capital Region through its logistics partners.
Executives Comment on the Initiative
Jagrut Kotecha, CEO of PepsiCo India and South Asia, said the launch of the EV Green Corridor along with electrification of the distributor fleet reflects their commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient, and future-ready supply chain.
Pankaj Sonalkar, Managing Director of Kalyani Powertrain, said the partnership will help advance sustainable freight mobility through the deployment of electric container trucks. He noted that the initiative demonstrates how EV technology can be integrated into commercial logistics when supported by strong ecosystem collaboration.
Corridor Designed as Scalable Model
According to PepsiCo India, the Kosi-Pataudi EV Green Corridor is designed as a scalable model for electric linehaul freight. The supporting ecosystem handles vehicle customisation, route optimisation, and charging infrastructure. This move will help the company advance its logistics service for sustainable development.
