SIAM Releases Zone-Wise MHCV Truck Sales Data of Q3 FY26

SIAM has released detailed zone-wise sales data for medium and heavy commercial vehicle goods carriers for the third quarter of FY26. The report covers October to December 2025. Tata Motors emerged as the market leader with 48,184 units sold across four zones.

Tata Motors Sells Highest MHCV Trucks

Tata Commercial Vehicles led the MHCV truck segment with 48,184 units sold in Q3 FY26. Zone-wise breakdown shows 13,004 units in the north zone, 8,842 units in the east, 20,947 units in the west, and 5,391 units in the south. The company holds a dominant 43.5% market share in the west zone.

Ashok Leyland Ranks Second

Ashok Leyland Commercial Vehicles sold 27,935 MHCV trucks during the quarter, securing second position. Sales included 7,236 units in the north zone, 2,365 units in the east, 11,244 units in the west, and 7,090 units in the south. Like Tata, Ashok Leyland has a commanding 40.3% sales share in the west zone.

VECV-Eicher Takes Third Place

VECV-Eicher Motors sold 16,109 MHCV trucks in Q3 FY26, ranking third. The company sold 4,696 units in the north zone, 1,613 units in the east, 6,243 units in the west, and 3,557 units in the south. It holds a strong 38.8% presence in the west zone.

Mahindra Holds Fourth Rank

Mahindra sold 1,839 MHCV goods carriers in Q3 FY26, taking fourth place. Zone-wise sales were 444 units in the north, 136 units in the east, 870 units in the west, and 389 units in the south. The brand has the least presence in the east zone with only 7.4% share.

SML Mahindra Secures Fifth Place

SML Mahindra sold 657 MHCV trucks during the quarter. Sales included 221 units in the north zone, 43 units in the east, 84 units in the west, and 309 units in the south. The company has a strong footprint in the south zone with 47% sales share.

Other Manufacturers Post Lower Volumes

VECV-Volvo sold 110 units, with highest sales from the east zone at 64 units. TI Clean Mobility (IPL Tech) sold 56 units, with 46 units coming from the west zone. Scania Commercial Vehicles sold 22 units, all in the south zone only.

West Zone Contributes Highest Share

Overall, the MHCV goods carrier category recorded domestic sales of 94,912 units in Q3 FY26. The west zone contributed the highest share at 41.6%, followed by the north zone at 26.7%. The east zone had the least presence with 13.8% share.
