Schwing Stetter Reveals India's First Electric Concrete Mixer
A major breakthrough came from Schwing Stetter and Qucev Technologies. They unveiled India's first battery-electric transit concrete mixer. The 7m³ mixer uses BYD's LFP Blade Battery and can charge fully in one hour. This marks a significant step toward electrifying heavy construction equipment.
Ashok Leyland Expands Into Industrial Engines
Ashok Leyland launched two new engine families, the P15 and H4 Unipack. These engines are built for construction machinery like loaders and backhoes. They meet strict CEV Stage V emission norms and are designed for high performance and fuel efficiency in tough conditions.
Propel Industries Launches a Full Electric Tipper Range
Propel Industries focused squarely on electrification. It launched four new electric tippers with capacities from 20 to 90 tonnes. It also introduced a connected platform, Pulse.ev, for fleet management. This shows a complete ecosystem approach to electric commercial vehicles in mining and construction.
Mahindra and Volvo Highlight Localized Machinery at EXCON 2025
Mahindra displayed its flagship construction trucks like the Blazo X35 tipper. Volvo CE unveiled the EC215, a mid-sized excavator made specifically in India for the local market. JCB presented its largest India-made excavator, a 52-tonne model. This highlights the trend of local manufacturing for core infrastructure equipment.
