TVS Sells Record 18,000 Electric 3-Wheelers in 11 Months

TVS Motor Company is making waves in India's electric three-wheeler market. The brand has achieved a remarkable sales milestone. It sold over 18,000 electric three-wheelers in just 11 months of 2025. This rapid growth marks TVS as a serious new contender.
TVS Sales Growth Shows a Steady Climb
The sales journey started small but grew quickly. In January, TVS sold just 133 units. By April, monthly sales crossed 1,000. The number reached 2,000 units by July. The brand hit its highest record in November 2025, selling 2,871 units in a single month. This steady rise shows strong and consistent market acceptance.
TVS Now Ranks Among the Top EV Brands
This performance has propelled TVS to a notable position. It now holds about a 3% market share in the electric three-wheeler segment for November. Among nearly 600 brands in the space, TVS stands at 6th place overall. This is impressive for a company that entered the market recently.
TVS King EV Max Serves Passenger Needs
TVS entered the market with the King EV Max. This passenger auto-rickshaw runs on a 9.7 kWh LFP battery. It offers a claimed range of 179 km on a full charge. It features three riding modes and can wade through 500 mm of water. These specs have helped it gain quick trust from drivers.
TVS King Kargo HD EV Enters the Cargo Segment
TVS didn't stop with passenger vehicles. It launched the King Kargo HD EV for goods transport in August 2025. This model boasts an 8.9 kWh battery and a large 6.6-foot loading deck. It also comes with connected features via TVS SmartXonnect, adding smart functionality to cargo transport.
The Competition Ahead
The road ahead is challenging. TVS competes with established giants like Mahindra and Bajaj Auto. These brands have a deeper market presence and wider networks. The coming months will test if TVS can sustain its rapid growth and climb higher in the rankings.
A Strong Start for a New EV Player
TVS Motor's electric three-wheeler journey is off to a powerful start. Selling 18,000 units in under a year is a clear sign of success. With a product in both passenger and cargo segments, TVS is building a solid foundation for the future of electric last-mile mobility.
