Best Tata 14 Wheeler Trucks in India

The Tata 14 wheeler truck price in India starts at ₹46.65 lakh for the LPT 4225 cowl. It goes up to ₹57.02 lakh for the Signa 4230.TK tipper (ex-showroom). A 14 tyre truck and a 14 wheeler are the same thing, so the Tata truck 14 tyre price follows this list too.

Ranges cover different wheelbases, deck lengths and body sizes.

Two price changes shaped this list. GST on trucks fell from 28% to 18% on 22 September 2025. Tata cut its heavy truck prices by ₹2.80 lakh to ₹4.65 lakh to match. On 1 October 2026, Tata raised prices by up to 1%. So a Tata truck price for a 14 wheeler quoted before October 2026 will be slightly lower than today's.

Tata 14 Wheeler Tipper (Hyva) Price

The Tata hyva 14 wheeler price runs from ₹50.94 lakh to ₹57.02 lakh ex-showroom. Hyva is the name of a company that makes tipping hydraulics, but most buyers use the word for any tipper. Tata sells two 14 wheeler tippers: the Signa 4230.TK and the Signa 4232.TK. Both are rated at 42,000 kg GVW.

These tippers sit between the 12 wheelers and the 16 wheelers. They carry more than a 35-tonne 12 wheeler tipper and cost less than the 16 wheeler Signa 4830.TK, which starts at ₹59.54 lakh.

Tata Signa vs LPT 14 Wheeler

The letters before the number tell you how the truck leaves the factory. LPT is the cowl version. It comes without a cab, so a body builder fits the cab and load body you want. That makes the LPT 4225 the cheapest way in, at ₹46.65 lakh.

Signa comes with Tata's own cab. The Tata Signa 14 wheeler truck price is ₹47.83 lakh to ₹49.50 lakh for the Signa 4225.T. You pay about ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh more, and the truck is ready to work sooner.

If you are looking for the Tata Prima 14 wheeler truck price, Fleetverse lists no Prima 14 wheeler in October 2026. In the 14 tyre range, Tata sells only LPT and Signa models.

Tata 14 Wheeler Truck On-Road Price and EMI

The Tata truck price for a 14 wheeler on road is the ex-showroom price plus road tax, registration, insurance, permit fees and FASTag. Each state sets its own road tax for goods vehicles, so the same truck costs a different amount in each state. Third-party insurance alone costs over ₹44,000 a year for a truck above 40,000 kg GVW.

Every Tata 14 wheeler sold today meets BS6 norms, so there is no separate BS6 price. Ask your dealer for a written on-road quote and check each line.

Most buyers finance a 14 wheeler. Take the ₹46.65 lakh LPT 4225. With 15% down (about ₹7 lakh) and an 11% loan over 60 months, the Tata 14 wheeler truck price EMI is about ₹86,200 a month. A ₹50.94 lakh Signa 4230.TK tipper on the same terms costs about ₹94,100 a month. Try your own numbers on the TruckOnWheels EMI calculator.

Tata 14 Wheeler Truck Load Capacity and GVW

A Tata 14 wheeler truck is rated at 42,000 kg gross vehicle weight (GVW). The LPT 4425 is rated higher, at 44,000 kg. GVW is the truck, its body and its load added together.

Payload is what is left once you take away the truck and its body. That depends on the body you fit, but a 42-tonne truck usually carries roughly 28 to 30 tonnes. Tippers carry a little less, because the steel body weighs more.

Tata calls the layout 10x2. That means five axles, with power going to one of them. Some axles run twin tyres and some run single tyres, which adds up to 14. The model number makes the rest easy. The first two digits are the GVW in tonnes, and the last two are roughly the power divided by 10. A 4225 is a 42-tonne truck with 250 HP, and a 4230 is a 42-tonne tipper with 300 HP.

Tata 14 Wheeler Truck Price 4223 and 3718: What Changed

Many buyers still search for the Tata 14 wheeler truck price 4223 BS6. The LPT 4223 and Signa 4223.T are not on Fleetverse's price list in October 2026. Some websites still quote them at about ₹37 lakh. Today's nearest model is the LPT 4225, at ₹46.65 lakh.

The Tata 3718 BS4 is older still. BS4 trucks could not be sold new after 31 March 2020. Tata's current 37-tonne truck is the Signa 3725.T, at ₹45.79 lakh, and Fleetverse lists it as a 12 wheeler.

Tata 14 Wheeler Truck Mileage

As a rough guide, a loaded Tata 14 wheeler gives about 3 to 4 km/l on the highway. Tippers on site roads give less. The LPT 4225 comes with a 300 or 365 litre tank, so one fill covers a long run.

Which Tata 14 Wheeler Truck Should You Buy?

Start with the load, not the price. For heavy cargo over long distances, the Signa 4225.T is ready to work from day one. Pick the LPT 4225 if you want your own cab and body. If your loads are dense and you want every extra tonne, look at the 44-tonne LPT 4425.

For mines, quarries and large construction sites, the Signa 4230.TK is the tipper to start with. If 42 tonnes is not enough, step up to a Tata 16 wheeler.

Before you decide, compare the Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz and Eicher 14 wheeler trucks too.
